The R2Ri team has a wealth of experience in Travel Risk Management (from assisting UK Government owned entities sending staff overseas to develop their Travel Risk Management Systems to comply with their Duty of Care, training teams heading overseas for fieldwork or expeditions and post incident support) as well as involvement in both the new ISO for Travel Risk Management and BS:8848 - the British Standard for overseas Fieldwork, Ventures, Visits and Expeditions. We also have significant expertise in generating and delivering Country Briefings. Team members include intelligence analysts with military and civilian intelligence backgrounds – well versed in high-risk operations overseas, expert trainers, those who have spent decades in the fieldwork and expedition spheres, to team members involved in writing the safety standards . The experience within the team also encompasses high level advisers to blue chip corporate, media, travel, expedition, off shore, mineral exploration, adventure travel, education and many more sectors.

We maintain access to country reports and global incident data constantly maintained by a team of intelligence analysts. Our insights arise from multiple intelligence data sources.

Team members have years of experience, (Civilian, Military and Intelligence Services) in this area and have undergone formal education in this field, to complement their experience. Team member qualifications include accredited Duty of Care Practitioners.

Training and Accreditations include:

  • The Security and Risk Management Consultant’s course (delivered at the Government’s Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College in York).

  • IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) Certified Safety, Health and Security for the Mobile Worker Practitioners having undertaken formal certifications in the field:
