At R2Ri, we have a wealth of experience in delivering training and support for both organisations and individuals to ensure that their Ventures are delivered safely. We have a unique, multi-disciplinal team supporting our clients - from expedition leaders, health and safety advisors to remote area medics and more. Lawyers in the team, whilst in private practice, successfully represented and defended cases for some of the best known companies in our field.

Our team members include those involved in writing BS:8848, the safety standard for overseas expeditions, visits, fieldwork and ventures (which also heavily influenced the University Safety and Health Association Fieldwork safety standard) and ISO:31030 - the international Travel Risk Management Standard.

Team members have trained, lectured to, provided safety services for and supported exploration companies, higher education establishments, expedition companies, adventure travel organisations, media, shipping companies, charities, conservation organisations, government agencies (UK and overseas), Local Authorities, SAR teams, all branches of UK military, schools and more.

Services include training and consultancy on, as well as auditing against, BS:8848.

We have decades of experience of operational planning for activities around the world and dealing with travel and operational related incidents. We distil this experience into a 2 day, foundation level course - our own unique delivery of the Royal Geographical Society Off Site Safety Management course, with additional Risk Assessment and Travel Risk Management courses.
