QUALITY
"I'm blown away with the service R2Ri provide!"

We provide quality services by starting with high quality team members. Genuine experts with operational, experience based, strength in depth, backed up by high level training. Many clients elect to utilise our services due to the individuals within the team and their ongoing reputations and experience.
In addition to quality personnel with suitable qualifications and experience, our team members undergo extensive CPD. We have a policy that both encourages and enables high quality CPD within the team.
R2Ri team members are often delivering CPD to other specialists in their fields of expertise - including leading organisations using the skills and knowledge we teach, in the most difficult of environments. Check out our news pages and Facebook pages for more details of the specific CPD events that we both attend and deliver. Our client list page speaks for itself.

"Excellent Course delivered by a master of the subject"

Focus on quality: our commitment to quality starts with having an exceptional Faculty. Core Faculty are all individuals that our senior management have worked with (e.g on SAR or expedition teams), received training from or have delivered training to. Other instructors are drawn from personal recommendations from the core Faculty and shadow or teach alongside core Faculty, before being admitted as core Faculty themselves, if they meet the grade.
We hold their certifications and expect and require ongoing CPD.
The team are highly qualified and experienced educators with consistently exceptional testimonials and results for the courses they deliver. Importantly, what we teach is current - and works in the real world.
"...it was superb...has set the benchmark for training."
All of the team are operational in their sectors as well as being passionate educators. All are very highly regarded amongst their external peers and many sit on leading sector panels - from multiple Wilderness Medical Society (the global authority on wilderness medicine) Sub Committees (Operational Medicine, which includes military, environmental and Prolonged Field Care, Expedition Medicine and Global Health Committees), to panels writing national and International safety standards (BS:8848, the standard for safety on overseas expeditions, fieldwork, adventure travel, visits and ventures and ISO:31030, the new Travel Risk Management standard being published later in 2021), trauma lead for the UKRO, members of relevant committees including at FPHC RCS (Edin) and many more. We are deeply immersed in the sectors we operate in.
Many of the team also deliver training to the next generation of practitioners in our areas of subject matter expertise - from University lecturers teaching on Expedition Medical Masters degrees to Nursing Degrees to specialist risk subjects and team members teaching at respected academic establishments overseas.
Most of the medical team have been independently assessed as and signed off as instructors for as well as regularly deliver internationally respected medic level qualifications such as Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support. That process itself requires independent external observation from an appointee of the awarding body and independent sign off as well as ongoing delivery and ongoing centralised training to maintain currency. Others have been screened by University Medical Schools in terms of qualifications and experience before being authorised to deliver specialist courses, with feedback on individual instructors, from every delegate, for every individual session, being captured and scrutinised.
We also work with leading academic establishments, participate in and receive the benefit of research - an example being our Prolonged Field Care course which is part of PhD level research into Prolonged Field Care.
Our risk specialists have long histories in our chosen field of expertise - remote, outdoor and wilderness risk.
We have the luxury of running the leading remote area risk conferences so invite leading international speakers in our chosen fields. Our commitment to self improvement and education is constant.
Core Faculty are able (and encouraged) to upskill and undergo CPD in a variety of sector leading courses from Off Site Safety Management to University Medical School accredited wilderness medical courses. Most undertake high level external qualifications on an ongoing basis.
Unusually, senior management attend all of our courses (above EFAW level - albeit EFAW is, of course, also subject to assessment and Quality Assurance) for either the totality or large durations of each course, to observe and assess delivery as well as receiving feedback from delegates. We operate a matrix of regular observation across all our courses and a policy of constant improvement.
We pride ourselves on the exceptional quality we provide. This is reflected in the exceptional feedback we receive and the level, identity (and organisation) of the delegates leaving such exceptional feedback. We publish feedback from courses on social media and our testimonials page - as well as on each course page.
The most well informed, skilfully delivered course I've done in 20 years. Excellent course that will allow me to do my job better. Excellent, in depth, experience based delivery."
This way, we know we have up to date, passionate, effective educators, who are regularly assessed to ensure standards remain amongst the absolute best in our fields - anywhere.

We also deliver high quality, relevant, qualifications (and have had to meet very stringent quality criteria to be able to deliver these qualifications). As part of the delivery and quality process, we have internal auditing from a pool of trained Internal Quality Assessors led by a Lead Internal Quality Assessor (who has previously held a medical training and quality role within the NHS and now trains the next generation of Health Care Professionals a University level). By the nature of many of the qualifications we deliver, we are also also signed up to an externally quality assessment and audit by some prestigious and well-respected organisations - in various forms, including assessment of paperwork submitted, actual physical attendance and observation as well as audit by External Quality Assessors.
A qualification issued by R2Ri means that the person actually completed the training and to the requisite standard.
All client feedback is analysed by the Senior Management Team, personally.
This combination of quality people, quality courses and quality delivery underpins our culture of excellence and client focus…and we believe it is responsible for the excellent client feedback we receive.

"I would just like to say thanks to R2Ri having attended both the RGS Off Site Safety Management and Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support courses recently.
The faculty provided on both courses have an exceptional level of experience and knowledge in the subject matter delivered and encourage all course members to interact to get the best out of the learning experience.
I would highly recommend them for the above courses and I'm sure that attending any course they provide would be a great experience delivered in an enjoyable learning environment.
Thanks once again'
